Department of Theology - Open rank search for Fall 2026 The Department of Theology of Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Florida invites applications for a full-time, open rank position in theology to begin in the fall semester of 2026. Individuals with expertise in biblical studies, patristics, and/or moral theology are especially encouraged to apply. Competitive applicants will be gifted teachers and active both in research and publishing. Applicants should also understand the nature and purpose of a Catholic liberal arts education, be familiar with and committed to the Catholic Church's teaching on the mission of Catholic universities as expressed in Ex corde Ecclesiae, and be willing to apply for the Mandatum. Adherence to the teachings of the Catholic Church are required. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in theology (or related discipline) or S.T.D. at the time of appointment and be prepared to teach core classes in theology as well as more advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
