We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Housekeeping Department as a Laundry Attendant . The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and helps create memorable guest experiences by ensuring all linens are fresh, clean, and prepared with care. This role is truly the “Heart of the House,” providing essential services that allow guests to relax and enjoy their stay. A great housekeeping team can make a guest’s stay go from good to outstanding!
Clean linen shoot first thing in the AM
Load the washer and dryer for the 8am crew
Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering clean, high-quality linens for guest rooms, restaurants, and catering events.
Perform all laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing, and folding.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and other assigned areas.
Complete daily cleaning of housekeeping and maintenance staff restrooms.
Properly use cleaning equipment and chemicals while following all safety procedures.
Assist housekeepers and housemen as needed to support overall operations.
Respond in a friendly and helpful manner to both guests and team members.
Contribute to a safe and positive work environment.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen.
Ability to prioritize and organize work.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.
Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. High School Graduate preferred.
Experience: None required, laundry experience preferred.
Licenses or certificates: None.
Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available).
Other:
Note: The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. All employees, both management and hourly, must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business demands.
