Hybrid (Remote + On-site): This role is primarily remote, with one required monthly commute to the *** Thousand Oaks (ATO) campus. Candidates must reside in Los Angeles or Ventura County. Emergency Coverage: Must be able to report onsite if systems go down and manual processes required.
Experience with Quality Management Tracking Systems (QMTS) is preferred but not required - full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate is a local Los Angeles/Ventura County supply chain professional who can work remotely but commute onsite once per month and in emergencies. They are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with strong communication skills and proven ability to manage complex workflows in Outlook. Candidates with air freight experience, process improvement or digital innovation exposure, and familiarity with GMP or AI tools are especially attractive. A bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain is preferred but not required, and the manager is open to both seasoned professionals and motivated entry-level talent who demonstrate commitment and long-term stability.
Associate Supply Chain
Description:
As an Associate, Clinical Supply Chain, you will play a key role in ensuring clinical drug products are distributed globally to clinical sites, supporting patients and advancing clinical trials. You will collaborate across functions, troubleshoot distribution issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
General:
- Provide distribution support to Global Supply Planners and Logistics Service Providers
- Partner with clinical site staff and *** Quality to document, investigate, and communicate decisions concerning distribution complaints.
Sales Order Management:
- Create and manage clinical drug shipments in ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Generate customs invoices, track & trace shipments, and close Proof of Receipt (POR)
- Support reconciliation and return of investigational products
Temperature Data & Quality:
- Review shipment temperature data and assess excursions with Quality partners
- Communicate with study managers and pharmacy staff regarding distribution or temperature events
- Capture KPIs, analyze trends, and support corrective actions
Other activities:
- Participate in international, cross functional meetings
- Support and manage the reconciliation and return of investigational products
- Support projects and initiatives that improve our distribution capabilities
Technical skills:
SAP knowledge (or other relevant ERP systems)
Good MS suite skills, with an emphasis on Outlook and Teams
Experience with Quality Management Tracking Systems (QMTS)
Smartsheet and SharePoint knowledge
General knowledge of clinical supply chain management
