The Position

The Opportunity: 

As a Production Technician, you will have key responsibilities supporting manufacturing operations in the areas of manufacturing, packaging, and/or product labeling. You will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product. You will work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks. You will also check and inspect the operation against predetermined tolerances. You will provide support to an area, person, or program. Interface with internal customers. Perform semi-routine support duties of a specialized nature within an assigned area. You will also be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.


• Maintaining material/supply needs to support production
• Setting up & operating equipment and processing materials & packaging kits in accordance  with standard operating procedures
• Inspecting products and components to verify completeness of the final device and product information is precise and legible. Inspecting the product for quality and adherence to specifications
• Ensuring full compliance with both GMP and housekeeping standards within the packaging area
• Participating in troubleshooting and problem-solving associated with the packaging process
• Completing and ensuring accuracy of all process orders and associated required documentation, records, and metrics
• Preparing work centers for appropriate line clearance procedures and conducting regular cleaning in accordance with standard operating procedures
• May train others in department as needed

Who you are: 

Minimum requirement:

• High School Diploma or equivalency

• Must be willing to work Sun – Thurs 10:30 pm – 7 am (EST)

Preferred requirements:

• Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures
• Detail-oriented
• Specialized training in lean methodology or certification (i.e., six sigma) in a particular area, system, or equipment (pallet jack, cherry picker, etc.)
• 1 year of related experience in operations or manufacturing
• Experience in an oriented work environment
• Experience in a regulated work environment
• Thorough understanding of appropriate safety, health, and environmental procedures
• ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience
• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
• 1 year of related experience in production or manufacturing assembly in a regulated industry
• Ability to lift to 35 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to have flexibility in work schedule when needed

Pay transparency

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Indianapolis, is $35,600 - $66,000 USD annually.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
