Job Description

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a motivated Entry-Level QC Technician/Chemist to join the Quality Control team at a growing life sciences company in the greater Maryland area. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a regulated laboratory setting. The role is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician Include :
  • Perform analytical testing using HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, pH, conductivity, and titration techniques.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and samples in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Document all lab activities and results following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Support method validation, equipment calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized lab space and follow all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Participate in investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications of the Quality Control Technician Include :

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
  • 0-2 years of laboratory experience (academic or internship experience accepted).
  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and standard lab techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a GMP or ISO-regulated laboratory setting (preferred, not required)
  • Knowledge of LIMS or electronic lab notebook systems (preferred, not required)


Compensation of the Quality Control Technician Include :

  • Hourly pay: $20.00 - $25.00, based on experience.
  • Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with ADP, PTO, holidays, and sick leave
